Pakistani Chicken Paratha recipe

 

Ingredients:

Ingredients for dough:

  • Whole wheat flour   1/2 kg
  • Refined flour  1/2 kg
  • Clarified butter  4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Ingredients for chicken:

  • Chicken Breast  1/2 kg
  • Garlic paste  1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder  1 tbsp
  • Barbecue masala  2 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce  3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice  3 tbsp
  • White vinegar 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter a little
  • Oil for frying + 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Mix all dough ingredients and knead into dough.
  • Mix all chicken ingredients except butter and including 2 tbsp oil in a bowl.
  • Wrap chicken breasts in plastic and refrigerate for 2 hours and then steam them.
  • Grease baking tray with butter and place chicken breasts; bake in pre-heated oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.
  • Chop chicken breasts; flatten dough ball with hand; put chicken pieces in the centre of each; gather the ends to close them and roll like parathas.
  • Heat griddle and fry parathas from both sides till golden
