Pakistani balti chicken recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 8 medium-size pieces
  • Onions(Chopped)Â 2
  • Yogurt(whipped) 2 tbsp
  • Tomatoes(Chopped)Â 2
  • Green chilies(finely cut) 4 tsp
  • Ginger/garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice  2 tbsp
  • Tomato paste ½ cup
  • Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • Cardamoms 2
  • Black peppercorns 6
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Hot spice powder ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Cabbage and Coriander for garnishing

 

Method:

  • Fry onions golden; add tomatoes, green chilies, and ginger/garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • Add black pepper, cardamoms, and cinnamon. Mix.
  • Add cumin, red chilies, coriander and hot spices and mix.
  • Add chicken and fry on high flame.
  • Add tomato paste, salt and yogurt and put on dum; add lemon juice.
  • Spread cabbage leaves in a dish; put Balti Chicken on it; garnish with coriander and serve.
